I think “brevity” increases the levity, and screw anyone who can’t be bothered to look up a word they don’t know.

Very nice comics. A great tribute to Larson. I do hope you keep it up.

You shouldn’t change your vocabulary usage at all. The word “brevity” may not be a word the general public uses, but dumbing down a caption is something Larson never did - which is one reason his comic strip was so popular. Fool around with your captions, but never dumb it down.

Don’t change the word “brevity”. It is perfect in that context. If someone doesn’t know what the word means, let them look it up instead of insulting the intelligence of the rest of your readers.

Yeah I mounted it to foam posterboard and gave it to her, though I don’t know if she actually glued it yet. A fairy tale series would be pretty good if I could do clever symbolism in every one to foreshadow what was going to happen. Then at least if the technical quality of the painting isn’t that great there’s something interesting to back it up.
